Their adaptability makes them a dominant player in the adhesives market. Epoxies can be formulated to be rigid or flexible and to cure at room or elevated temperatures, in dry or wet conditions. They range from low-viscosity liquids to highly filled pastes and perform exceptionally well in structural bonding applications.

Most commercial epoxy adhesives fall into two categories: single-component, heat-curing systems, and multi-component formulations that cure at room or elevated temperatures. However, there is no universal “best” epoxy. The ideal choice depends on both mechanical demands and environmental resistance—such as temperature fluctuations, moisture, chemicals, and outdoor exposure.
